Tit For Tat Story

An English poet was staying in Italy for the tit for tat benefit of his health. During his stay he received an unpaid letter from one of his friends in England. The poet had to pay double postage to take delivery of the letter. But it contained nothing but the sentence "I am well". The poet felt very annoyed at the little news at the cost of double postage. He thought it to be a fun. made up his mind to teach his friend a good lesson. He procured a heavy stone and packed it up in a fine box. stone was wrapped with a piece of paper on which he wrote some words. He then, sent the box to his friend He an unpaid parcel with the phrase on it, "Carriage to be paid on delivery." When the parcel reached to his friend, the friend thought the contents of the parcel to be valuable. So The as he happily paid the heavy charge for carrying it. He had also to pay double postage. With a great hope in mind he opened the box and found nothing but an ordinary stone. The friend felt ashamed when he read the sentence on the paper wrapped on the stone "Learning, that you are well, this heavy stone has rolled out from my heart." Reading this, the friend realized that it was nothing but vengeance as the proverb goes "Tit for tat."
